Port Macquarie Custom Cabinets grew out of a simple gap on the Mid North Coast. With the nearest flat-pack warehouse a long drive south, plenty of local homes were being fitted out with generic modules that never quite suited the room. We saw a better option in cabinetry that is measured on site, built to the actual space and installed locally. Working across the coastal suburbs, the retiree and sea-change villages and the newer growth estates at Thrumster and Sancrox, we have handled everything from beach-house kitchens to downsizer wardrobe retrofits. Salt air, humidity and older, out-of-square rooms all shape how we build here, so we specify materials and finishes with the local climate in mind. Today we remain a hands-on local business where the person who quotes your job is the person who sees it through.

Steve Smith has spent more than 12 years designing and building custom cabinetry, and he still measures, plans and oversees every job personally. He is a firm believer that good cabinetry starts with getting the measurements and the brief right, then choosing materials and hardware that suit how the space will actually be used. Clients deal with Steve directly from the first visit through to the final install, so nothing gets lost between a salesperson and a workshop. He takes real pride in joinery that fits properly and functions well day to day.
